Pavilion of the Center for Ayurveda

In the first half of 2018, we completed the delivery of the load-bearing wooden structure of the new Ayurvedic Medicine Pavilion at the Svatá Kateřina Resort, which was created according to the design of architect Jakub Tejkl. The skeletal load-bearing system is interesting due to its placement on stones (menhirs) ranging in height from 1 to 2 m and also the atypical shape of the columns – in plan view shaped like “+”, “T”, and “L”. These were manufactured in the workshop and only installed on site. All elements of the structure are machined on the CNC woodworking center Hundegger K2i. The total volume of all the used timber was approximately 340 m3.
