Strashkov
Family house
The roofing of the family house in Straškov is specific in its use of visible beams of type BSB in combination with standard non-visible beams with a junction plate. BSB beams (Blumer-system-binder) are characterized by hidden joints. Steel sheets are inserted into the prepared groove and then joined with self-drilling pins into pre-drilled holes in the wood. In this family house, 3 BSB beams are placed above the living room to create an open space. Additionally, a walkable gallery is suspended from the first beam.
